Sailin' Away
We spent a lot of time with Grammy, Papa and Auntie Steffy this week. Mom and I drove out to Grand Rapids on Wednesday and came home on Sunday. We went to the boat on Friday night and stayed there until Sunday morning. I love sleeping on the boat, I rocks me right to sleep.
The best way to relax is in the buff (Daddy always says so I though I would try it:)!
I really wanted to drive the boat, but it is very hard to do when the boat is docked...and when you are behind the wheel instead on in front.
I think I will take sailing lessons some day and figure all this stuff out.
This darn life jacket! I know it may one day save my life, but can't they give a little more neck space (for those of us who don't have one!) Very uncomfortable but I survived. Ry Ry was not feeling too great. He gets sea sick every time.
While we were docked a bunch of geese came and we fed them. When we ran out of bread they moved on to the next sucker.
Papa and Grammy were very happy to see me. They held me and played with me the whole time, it was great.
We went for a long sail on Saturday, 4 1/2 hours! I slept through most of it, that rocking gets me every time. It was a very relaxing weekend and we gave Daddy plenty of time to get things done at the store. Here I am making sure Daddy is working and not playing...Or maybe the other way around!
My shirt says "it's not easing raising my dad" aint that the truth! (shout out Nana J, thanks for the outfit)
A color palate that would make Bob Marley proud, ya mon.

This is from behind the looooong counter, probably where I will play most of the time.

This red corner is where the deli is going to go.

This corner may end up with a couple of tables and chairs for lunch goers and loiters. Every market has local loiterers.

This is the granite countertop. Our neighbor installs it so we got a great deal.

Still not sure on the opening day yet, still waiting on a few tradesmen to get their butts in gear.

Isabelle came over and completely broke my concentration.

And last, you have got to ham it up for her a little, moms love that crap!
